Important Election Dates

Arizona uses four dates per year to hold elections in March, May, August, and November.  There is one special election date in March of Presidential Election years that is different from the regular March election. Not all the dates will have an election if no county jurisdictions are  having an election.

2022

August 2 Election Day: Statewide Primary (All Registered Voters)

Last day to register to vote for election: July 5, 2022.

Mail ballots sent/In-Person Early Voting begins: July 6, 2022.

Last day to request an early ballot by mail: July 22, 2022.

In-Person Early Voting ends: July 29, 2022.

Election Day: August 2, 2022

  • Vote Centers open 6 am to 7 pm.
  • All early ballots must be received by the County Recorder by 7 pm.

November 8 Election Day: Statewide General (All Registered Voters)

Last day to register to vote for election: October 11, 2022.

Mail ballots sent/In-Person Early Voting begins: October 12, 2022.

Last day to request an early ballot by mail: October 28, 2022.

In-Person Early Voting ends: November 4, 2022.

Election Day: November 8, 2022

  • Vote Centers open 6 am to 7 pm.
  • All early ballots must be received by the County Recorder by 7 pm.
