Register to Vote

Arizona residents need to register to vote in their county 29 days prior to an election to be eligible to vote. Registrants wishing to change their name, residential address, mailing address, and/or political party need to re-register to vote.

Every resident of the state is qualified to register to vote if they:

• Are a citizen of the United States
• Will be eighteen years of age or more on or before the date of the regular general election next following his registration
• Will have been a resident of the state twenty-nine days next preceding the election
• Are able to write their name or make their mark, unless prevented from so doing by physical disability
• Has not been convicted of treason or a felony, unless restored to civil rights
• Has not been adjudicated an incapacitated person

How to Register to Vote or Update your Registration:

• Online through the Service Arizona website
  • You must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License or valid Arizona Identification Card
• A paper registration form available at:
  • Yavapai County Recorder’s Office, both in Cottonwood and Prescott
  • City or Town Clerks’ offices in Yavapai County
  • Libraries in Yavapai County
  • Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles
  • United States Post Offices
  • Printable State Form from the Arizona Secretary of State’s website
